A journey to Istanbul

In a powerful display of unity and support, we embarked on a journey to Istanbul alongside 15 mothers of Srebrenica and Srebrenica Memorial Center with the support of Türk İşbirliği ve Koordinasyon Ajansı Başkanlığı - TİKA and Bağcılar Belediyesi to shed light on the challenges women in Bosnia face and their relentless pursuit of justice. With our Mother's Scarf art installation and Scarves of Remembrance and Memento photo exhibition, we stand strong, determined to amplify their voices and honor their unwavering strength. With hearts full of gratitude, we bid farewell, carrying cherished memories. Thank you, Turkiye, for an unforgettable experience!

The premiere of the play "Mašta može svašta" by GKM Vitez delighted the packed theatre hall in Vitez

The youngest ensemble of the City Youth Theatre Vitez played the premiere of the play "Mašta može svašta" last night. The theatre hall in Vitez was too cramped for all those who wanted to see the new theatrical delicacy created in the kitchen of Vitez theatre workers.

The great reaction of the audience confirmed that the young actors lived up to expectations, and the knight's theatre received another excellent performance, as well as a very talented generation of young actors.

This children's fantasy captured the attention of the youngest, but delighted the rest of the audience as well, who rewarded the young actors with a long-standing ovation at the end of the play.

The play features: Marija Ćuturić, Marijeta Marić, Monika Rajković, Iva Velte, Petar Domić, Klara Matošević.

The play was directed by Nikolina Kolak and Pavla Plavčić. The graphic design was done by Borislav Sučić, and the executive producer of the show is Ivan Sajević.

"I am very proud of all of us, our youngest actors, young directors Nikolina Kolak and Pavla Plavčić, as well as the rest of our theatre family. During the past month, we played four premieres, which is truly an extraordinary success. Thank you also to our wonderful audience that has been with us all this time and fills our theatre hall every time, which is certainly an additional incentive for us to work even harder", said Ivan Sajević, host of GKM Vitez, after the performance.

Let us remind you that at the beginning of June GKM Vitez played the premiere of the play "The Blue Color of Snow", after that they premiered their small play "Stani Inspector!!!" and "Krug", and last night the premiere of the play "Mašta može svašta" concluded an extremely successful month.

GKM Vitez announced for Sunday, July 14, a rerun of the play "Stani inspektor!!!" in the Vitez theatre Hall, starting at 8:00 p.m.

The 14th Days of Theatre "Vitez 2022" ended with the premiere of the play "Déjà vu" of the City Youth Theatre Vitez.

The young members of GKM Vitez successfully played their new hit show in front of a packed hall, which received a great reaction from the audience.

"This is a wonderful generation of our young actors, in whose play, on theatre boards throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and surrounding countries, the audience will certainly enjoy a lot in the coming period. I am happy and proud, both because of the excellent premiere performance, and because of this year's theatre days, which were extremely high-quality and successful. Thank you to everyone who was part of our theatrical magic", said Ivan Sajević, head of GKM Vitez.

This time, the City Youth Theatre "Vitez" presented a teenage story set in a classroom during one school hour. Everything takes place during the strike of educators. It is the story of a high school class, their relationships, love woes and much more.

The play featured: Jelena Petrović, Ivana Stojak, Emin Šahdan, Katarina Petrović, Petra Pavlović, Marina Matijanić, Maria Nedić, Nikolina Kolak, Pavla Plavčić and Leo Lukić. The author of the text is Dukčin Dančika. Directed and adapted by Marko Mirković. The executive producer of the play is Ivan Sajević.

"It was wonderful to see a packed hall at the premiere of our new play. I would like to thank everyone in the theatre, our dear audience, and especially the ensemble of the play for a wonderful evening. We are looking forward to the new challenges and performances that await us", said the director of the play, Marko Mirković.

The theatre days were solemnly closed by Miralem Tursinović, the national coordinator of the ALF network of Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that GKM Vitez is a prominent member of this network and that it is always a pleasure to watch great performances by young t actors from VItez , as well as full halls where they attract the audience with their performances.

This year's theatre days in Vitez offered the audience 12 theatre performances, and in addition to the host, GKM Vitez, theatre groups from Bjelovar, Sinj, Slavonski Brod, Hercegovac, Subotica, Šid, Obrenovac, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Travnik performed, among others. . The winners of the IPC awards for contribution to humanism, human rights and freedom have been announced

President of the International Peace Center (IPC) Ibrahim Spahić announced that, traditionally on the occasion of Human Rights Day, this year's IPC Prize is awarded for the contribution of individuals and communities to humanism, human rights and freedom, peace and art in the country and the world, it was announced by the IPC- a.

This year's prize winners (Personalities) are UN Secretary Atonio Guterres for his contribution to public responsibility for the observance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, EFA Secretary General for the Affirmation of European Values Kathrin Deventer and artists who listen to the sounds/messages of the Earth Aisha and Leif Boman.

The institutions that received the award are the Sarajevo Philharmonic for the mission of music of peace, the Palermo Convention for rights in the Mediterranean and commitment to peace, freedom, health, nature and the fight for conflict prevention and youth, and Amnesty International for its contribution to the fight for human rights and freedoms.

Spahić reminded that thirty years ago the First UN Conference on Human Rights and Freedoms was held in Vienna in 1993, during the siege of Sarajevo and only one year after the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 and the year after that in Srebrenica. The world was then, as now, faced with the challenges of unfinished world wars and decolonization, according to the statement.

Spahić stated that the world is changing rapidly, and old/new conflicts and wars are being waged without pause according to the "divide and conquer" matrix. He believes that humanity is further and further away from its own principles from the UN Charter and the Declaration on Human Rights.

He stated that it is necessary to affirm, in every way, the contribution of every person and community that stands publicly in defense of human rights and freedoms and the dignity of life and opposes war, hatred and divisions on all grounds.

The world is burdened with diseases, problems of hunger and poverty, climate change, loss of natural balance and biodiversity, and is looking for a way out and exploring the bowels of the earth and oceans and the cosmos. Despite everything that is seen and felt day after day, the inexorable war mechanism and system of connecting vessels that connects the interests of the "powerful" does not stop anywhere because it is not "they and their children" who live in humanitarian breaks and corridors and "protected zones" but some other people and their children. Courage and wisdom is in building peace and defending freedom and is greater than any terror and violence - said Spahić.

This weekend, three great plays on theater days in Vitez

After last weekend the audience was delighted by the performances "Taximeter" by GKM Vitez and HAK Travnik and "Palace of Laughter" by DIS Theater from Banja Luka, the theater days in Vitez continue this weekend with three new performances. All performances are played in the Vitez Theater Hall, starting at 8:00 p.m.

The actors of the Children's Theater "Eko art" from Bugojno will be the first to take to the stage of the Vitez Theater Hall, who will play "The Bards" on Friday, September 29. The play features Ines Fuka, Selma Huskić, Ajna Krvavac, Muris Bušatlić, Amila Hamzić and Azra Dželilhodžić.

About the play "Bardov'ce": He is certainly the biggest, the best, the most performed... He is the Bard.

And they are… hmm, dissatisfied? A bit grumpy and very determined. And what if… if some characters, written a long time ago, could jump the barriers of time and tell their creator what they really think? Offer him your ideas? Explain what mistakes he makes? Three wonderful, capable women are on a mission. They haven't been written yet, but they know exactly what's coming next and are determined to change the course. They are spokespeople, in their own name and for everyone who has already been written and those who are not yet. If necessary, with the help of... magic. That, He has already given it to them! And He's… hmm, He's a man.

On Saturday, September 30, the audience will have the opportunity to watch the play "Love at First Sight" by the Slavonski Brod Youth Satirical Theater. Mr. Kosta Bandula responds to the ad for the new husband of Mrs. Marija Trkulje-Gazivoda. They both try to present themselves in the best light, but the life stories they confide in actually reveal their characters and destinies. All of this imbued with light melancholy, the reality of life and a touch of humor. The text is "Love at first sight" by Fadil Hadžić. Director Silvio Stilinović and assistant director Saša Karić staged the play for the first time on the stage in Slavonski Brod. In addition to Silinović, who is the main actor in the play along with the director, Tanja Medić Savić and Luka Kovač act.

The sixth weekend of this year's theater days will conclude the "Fedra" Theater from Bugojno with the play "Life Before Her". Through twenty mutually unrelated but intertwined scenes, the play talks about girls, women and women with an emphasis on the relationship of the environment and society towards them... The play stars Ajla Beganović, Ermina Music, Semir Beganović and Zina Šahović Kulašin. The adaptation and direction is by Amel Ugarak, and the text was based on the motifs of the texts by Maja Pelević "orange peel" and others. and Mira Gavran's "All About Women".

The general sponsor of the 15th Theater Day "Vitez 2023" is the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth, Culture and Sports of the Canton of Central Bosnia and Minister Bojan Domić, and the partner of the festival is ALF BiH.
