General Information
Association “International Initiatives for Cooperation” (IIC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation established in 2003. The association is working on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, having its head office in the town of Razlog. The mission of the association is to develop and build up the capacity of the civil society in Bulgaria through designing and implementing different projects, activities and initiatives aimed at promoting the cultural, social and economic development of the country and respectively of the municipalities on its territory. In order to achieve its mission the association has directed its efforts in the following fields: YOUTH WORK: The organisation invests a lot of resources in building up the capacity and the potential of young people in various aspects of their personal and professional development. The young people that take part in the activities of the organisation and that collaborate on initiatives and projects grow up into conscious multipliers of the best practices and the philosophy of the organisation and spread the common human values in their communities. With the support of the association the volunteers develop, implement and take part in a number of projects such as seminars, training courses and youth exchanges related to different topics. They promote active citizenship and sustainable development through organising various initiatives and proposing alternative forms of behaviour and attitude towards community problems.  SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT The association engages different groups in addressing and solving community issues. The members of the association provoke citizens’ critical thinking and help them elaborate tailor-made appropriate solutions to local community problems thus giving them the active role to build their own personal, social, cultural, political and economic life in the community. The organisation creates ad-hoc groups to tackle issues of concern for the local development. Also, there are voluntary teams of different age, interests and nationalities who support the local development proposing multidisciplinary, multifaceted and multicultural approaches. CULTURE Since 2007, association “International Initiatives for Cooperation” is the Head of the Bulgarian Network of “Anna Lindh – Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures”. Since then the organisation has been implementing a number of activities and initiatives aimed at promoting the intercultural dialogue among the civil society in Bulgaria and in the Euro-Med region. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES Since its very beginning IIC is developing and implementing a number of activities aimed at creating equal opportunities, improving the quality of life of people with fewer opportunities, fighting discrimination and xenophobia and promoting tolerance among members of the civil society. Some of the most significant activities in this field are the construction of a sheltered home for elderly people, establishment and development of a resource center for young people, reducing juvenile delinquency, surveys and researches concerning the roots and manifestations of racism and xenophobia and methods and approaches to fight these manifestations. TRANSPARENT ADMINISTRATION Since 2003 IIC have been implementing a number of activities related to the improvement of the transparency and accountability of the state administration. The most significant projects in this field consist of the delivery of trainings related to good and transparent governance and the delivery of quality services to citizens by the municipal officials and people working in the judicial system. FUNDAMENTAL CIVIL RIGHTS The association has been actively involved in providing services to citizens both with the purpose of encouraging their active participation and building awareness about their rights as citizens of Bulgaria and Europe. Researches have been made, trainings have been delivered and information has been regularly provided to certain vulnerable groups. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IIC also works towards the promotion of economic development. The most significant activity in that field is a project financed by “6th Framework Programme” which aims at providing services and support to companies working in the field of renewable energy production. IIC has already made a step towards developing and implementing projects and initiatives related to alternative sustainable tourism and offering consultancy and logistic support to SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) in the process of European integration and the implementation of projects financed by the European structural funds.

General Information
The Indra Congress (International Development of Reconciliation through the Arts) is inspired by the idea of Indra’s net, a net held together by interdependent jewels, we are a growing global network of young people, artists, educators and others who are committed to using the arts for the purposes of reconciliation and conflict transformation in our communities. We have formed a social enterprise to fulfil this ambition. Indra has been influenced by conflict transformation practitioners, such as John Paul Lederach, who suggests we need a paradigm shift in approaching conflict, away from a concern with the resolution of issues and towards a frame of reference that focuses on innovative and creative approaches to the rebuilding of relationships at all levels: personal, cultural and structural. Lederach asks ‘what if we as peacebuilders saw ourselves as artists?’ The Indra Congress seeks to explore the implications of this question in practice. Background The work builds on the achievements of the award winning ARROW programme (Art: a Resource for Reconciliation Over the World) at University College Plymouth St Mark and St John (UCP Marjon). Since 2004 ARROW had promoted a series of activities with partners in the UK and overseas. In the summer of 2010 over 100 young people and their co-ordinators from across the UK and around the world gathered for the ARROW Global Congress Plymouth. The Congress was a life-transforming experience for several participants, young and old (illustrated in project and summary reports), which motivated a determined momentum to further develop and extend this work. Anticipating the heavy financial pressures ahead, new management at the College have withdrawn support from grassroots work to reorient ARROW’s activities towards income generating activity, eg. leadership training within the business world and the enhancement of student numbers. However, the passion and belief of the young participants, the artists and co-ordinators led to a brave decision to establish an independent, social enterprise to move this core work forward, extend and expand its activities with a wide range of partners across the UK and worldwide.
Mission and Objectives

Conflict is about humans in relationship. It is widely recognised that there is a need for innovative, imaginative approaches to relationship building that can make significant and challenging contributions towards a more peaceful world. Approaches that acknowledge and respect the real, gut level experience of pain, mistrust, fear and hope of people involved.
Indra’s mission is to use the language of the arts to challenge stereotypes and false myths, to build bridges, promote empathy and heal relationships across perceived boundaries and barriers. We also intend to provide a platform for discussion about the role of the arts in peacebuilding, and to work with young people, artists, educators, organisations, institutions, and others to develop the creative arts as a vital global resource for reconciliation and the creative transformation of conflict.
Indra also aims to utilise ICT to encourage the creative participation of young people and inspire them to develop arts and bridge-building initiatives in their own communities.

Main Projects / Activities

Each Indra group (in Bolton, Burnley, Plymouth, Durham and Derry in the UK, and in South Africa, Palestine, Sierra Leone, India, Kosovo, Brazil, Malaysia, Portugal and China) will undertake a creative project in their own community context addressing specific issues such as bullying, racism, inter-communal tension or intergenerational lack of understanding. All the groups will share this process with each other through a structured programme of virtual activities.
In 2013 they will come together for the Indra Global Congress in Derry. Throughout this period we will open the process to others who wish to engage.
At the Congress each group will have an opportunity to share and present the work they do in their own communities and learn from each other; work together in skills workshops including IT, the arts and creative conflict transformation; work collaboratively towards a celebratory carnival at the end and take part in a symposium with practitioners and academics working in this field. Cultural sharing activities and local visits will provide space for informal communication.
Once upon a time the god Indra made a large net to cover the whole world. Each point of intersection consisted of a beautiful, precious pearl. None of the pearls existed by themselves except as a reflection of each other and of all the pearls in the net. In turn the whole net relied on each individual pearl for its existence.

General Information
The Cultural Movement EPILOGI is a non-profit organization, founded in November 1992 on the initiative of a number of people of culture who had a vision of contributing towards a society based on values and thus to a better World. EPILOGI was founded after mature thinking, to fulfil the need for a vibrant cultural life in the town of Limassol. The name “EPILOGI”, which in Greek means “choice” was given to the organization to express its aim of giving a choice to the audience of Limassol and Cyprus. Today, EPILOGI is the largest cultural NGO in Cyprus with over 250 members mostly under the age of 30, who are actively involved in its programs. The organization is governed by a 15-member committee that include prominent artists and activists from various fields of culture, all voluntarily working on daily basis towards a shared vision. It also has 6 members of staff that include Artistic Director, Executive Director, Chief Administration and Technical staff. EPILOGI Cultural Movement is a member of the Association of Limassol Cultural Organizations, and it is an associated member of Jeunesses Musicales International, while our Children’s and Youth Choirs are members of the European Federation of Young Choirs “EUROPA CANTAT”. Through international cultural exchanges, EPILOGI has had the opportunity to co-operate with choirs and other cultural institutions around Europe. Among our major supporters are Co-operative Savings Bank of Limassol, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus, OPAP, Cyprus Youth Board and many others.
