General Information

Management organs: Association are general meeting of members, president, the council of Association. Sources of founding: contributions from founders, members, donations and assets from sponsors; material and financial assistance from Lithuania, foreign countries and international organizations; funds and assets from other organizations for target projects and programs; incomes from Association events and other services; other lawfully received income and assets. Association organizes seminars, conferences, publishes methodological literature in social emotional education, performs sociological, psychological researches. The members of Association are individuals and organisations (schools, kindergardens, public organizations, etc.)

Mission and Objectives

The main mission of association is disseminate best practice in social emotional education in the country, implement programs and tools for education, conduct research, recommendations and suggestions and organize cooperation between all members of Association. The main objectives of Association: - to bring together organizations, educational institutions and socially responsible companies implementing social emotional education programs, together to share work, organize information events and exchange experiences; - To carry out research, to make proposals and recommendations for the overall strategy of Lithuanian social emotional education, its development and implementation in the Lithuanian education system; - Create a collaborative platform for educators, educators and those responsible for social emotional education in the organization to share good practice, gain knowledge and inspire each other; - To spread the culture of social emotional education in the country, to find partners in foreign countries, in business and other sectors as well as to cooperate with non-governmental organizations.

Main Projects / Activities

Main activities/projects: - national conferences in social emotional education; - the training program of lecturer in social emotional education; - national friendly olympiad "Elephant" for children in social emotional education; - publication of a manual for the development of emotional intelligence and social emotional competences.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Association members are very active in empowering youth; we are working for inclusive and empathetic societies - and first of all at schools - to fight the lack of trust and intolerance what is still very common in our educational system.

We would like to spread ideas of ALF Network in Lithuanian educational system, encourage young people to develop leadership skills, create opportunities for them to create intercultural dialogue, build partnership with other foreign organizations to share experience in creating more tolerant society.

Main Projects / Activities

Our activities are destined to
• Implementation of public information and visibility activities destined to guarantee family friendly social environment and enhance positive image and role of parenthood and childhood institution;
• Initiation of scientific research of family situation, demographic decline in fertility, population aging and labor market problems related to that;
• Activation of parents in order to increase their participation in civil society life, to initiate a permanent, public and open forum on family role issues;
• Attraction of investments into facilities of preschool and school institutions; decreasing problem of the quality and quantity of occupation of parents with preschool and school age children;
• Participation to family friendly work places development, increase of possibilities of harmonization between family and work commitments;
• Promotion of parent’s occupation and entrepreneurship and self-employment; social integration of parents;
• Realization of sexual equality, women and men equal opportunities in family and society.

* 1995 - The municipality officially acknowledged AURA Dance Theatre. Now AURA has 6 permanent dancers and one choerographer. * Budget per year is almost 350 000 Euro. * Main sources of funding - The Culture Support Foundation,The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, Kaunas District Municipality and other. * Main actions: performances, exchanges, workshops, scholarships for young artists, interdisciplinary projects. * Vytautas Magnus University, Polish Institute in Vilnius, Arts Printing House, Institut français de Lituanie, Kaunas State drama theatre etc.

From 1989 AURA Dance Theater is organizing international festival "AURA". The festival born in Kaunas has become the town‘s meaningful tradition that encourages popularity of contemporary dance and enriches cultural life of Lithuania. Introducing the newest trends in contemporary dance and inviting to accept challenges this festival is educating the audiences and develops the understanding of contemporary dance. By inviting more and more established masters of dance from different foreign countries, the festival strengthens the image of Lithuania abroad and it develops intercultural exchanges. ALF Network would be great support for our ideas and (the main thing) for our festival.

The project “Be Active-Be European” aims to network for challenging Euroscepticism and motivating
young European citizens to participate in 2024 European Elections.
Short description: The aim of the project will be to establish international partnership among the project
participants, on discussing the importance of involving the youth in civic participation within the EU
and on raising awareness about the problem of Euroscepticism.
The aim of the project will be to explain the processes of the European Union parliament, EU policy
processes, importance of EU Elections and the achievements of the EU.
The aim of the event is also to prepare the young citizens and first time voters for the 2024 European
Elections.
During the project participants will learn, discuss and exchange experience about the benefits that EU
brings to its citizens.

Vilnius Archdioceses Caritas has been established in 1989 by Archbishop of Vilnius. For the poor of Vilnius Archdioceses Caritas is implementing 40 different activities. Help is provided for approximately  12 thousand people.  We have 150 employees and 600 volunteers. Budgetary resources available in a year  - 1,8 ml. Eur. Sources of funding Modalities of action (concrete projects, exchanges, seminars, scholarships etc.): EU structural, National and regional funds, private donations and donations fom Vilnius archdiocese. General Information

CEA’s main goals: 1. To promote the enforcement and implementation of equal rights for women and men. 2. To build the tolerance level of society, encourage individuals to combat discrimination due to sex, age, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, and reduce social exclusion within Lithuanian society. 3. To support the ideals of democracy by promoting the equal representation of the interests of both women and men in the decision-making process. 4. To advance the economic independence of women and men by providing equal and proper conditions for both to fulfill the right to work and to reconcile family and work responsibilities 5. To promote values of an open democratic society by encouraging gender dialogue. 6. To develop and promote gender equality ideas and change negative stereotypes of the sexes, age groups, national and ethnic minorities, the disabled and other social groups in society. 7. To advance and popularize ideas on gender equality. 8. To encourage dialogue and cooperation between NGOs and governmental institutions on projects and programs which promote equal opportunities. From January 1, 2012, the Center has a staff of five full time people and team of volunteers and experts (7 people). Financial sources for CEA's work come from project activities. Budget of CEA is around 100 000 Euro per year. Mission and Objectives

The mission of the CEA is to raise public awareness and by pre-empting discrimination against gender, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation, protect human rights and promote democratic values in the society. Objectives:CEA aims to promote democratic values and mainstream equality and diversity in society.

Main Projects / Activities

CEA works in the field of gender mainstreaming, monitoring of policies on gender based violence, women’s leadership, access to gender justice, tolerance building and quality of equality policies. • The center permanently conducts training seminars on gender equality policies, women’s leadership and empowerment for Lithuanian and international target groups. Recently CEA experts conducted training seminar for women leaders from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia and Ukraine in order to empower them in promoting gender equality policy objectives and strategies. Workshop for Kyrgyzstan local community leaders introduced the international good practices and lessons learned in the field of combating violence against women. Currently CEA experts have conducted cycle of seminars for Lithuanian public policy actors which provided enhanced knowledge on gender mainstreaming and transformative understanding of gender equality policies. • CEA has rich experience in organizing study tours for diverse international groups. Since 2006 CEA organized study tours for delegations from Ukraine, Uzbekistan and countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Among the participants of these delegations there were politicians and MPs from Ukraine, municipal administration, UNDP employees, civil servants from Ukraine, government representatives from Uzbekistan, NGO leaders, journalists and government members from Estonia, Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Georgia etc. • Currently CEA is enrolled in the project to build the in-depth understanding and practical application of competences in implementation of reconciliation of family and work life. By conducting the seminars and trainings for employers and municipal administration the aim is to develop family friendly culture in working environment and the model of services and consultations needed for the families to reconcile family obligations and employment needs. • In the field of violence against women CEA implements the project to build self-confidence and empower victims of domestic violence through the collective activities to overcome traumatic experience. • CEA contributed to the Study on the case studies of Resisting and Challenging the Fundamentalisms under AWID initiative. The case study on Lithuania demonstrates concrete strategies and advocacy efforts to resist and challenge Catholic religious fundamentalism. It produces new and strategic knowledge on growing Catholic religious fundamentalism in public and political life in Lithuania and its deteriorating impact on women’s rights. The study presents strategies employed by women’s rights activists to resist and challenge them in order to contribute to supporting and strengthening responses to religious fundamentalism by women’s rights activists and advocates • CEA organizes public campaigns, petitions and other advocacy work to promote women’s rights, non-discrimination and democratic values. • CEA staff was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide expert’s knowledge on gender equality in preparation and during chairmanship at ESBO in 2011 and continues their cooperation in 2012.

We are already working in empowering civil society and building effective cooperations in the field of human rights and social cohesion, and we believe our participation in the ALF network would enable us to continue this work striving for our mutual objectives.
