Additionally, three Erasmus+ (KA1) projects that we have implemented were awarded with the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 (EYCH) label because they contributed to the achievement of one or more of the objectives of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

Mission and Objectives

One of the main aims of “PlanBe” is to contribute to the positive societal changes by promoting effective communication between youngsters, intercultural and intergenerational dialogue, by facilitating understanding among people.  The mission of our organization is to develop and support the use of non-formal education, to foster entrepreneurship, to boost creativity, to support environmental consciousness, to foster democracy and human rights and to develop solidarity and tolerance among youngsters. Our main focus is to promote the cultural heritage of Cyprus and bring youngsters closer to their tradition, to traditional jobs and the agriculture of our island, and to narrow down the generational gap between the older and the younger generations. Therefore, we mainly design and run workshops and projects related to our cultural heritage, tangible and intangible, and how young people can gain new skills through our traditions and culture but also how youngsters can help in the preservation of these traditions and their transfer to younger generations. “PlanBe” has been established to support young people from all over Cyprus within the framework of non-formal and informal education. Together with volunteers coming from all over Europe, we are creating a fruitful ground for young people to reach their goals, to gain new skills, to get to know their culture and cultural heritage and to promote mobility. We are working for and with the youngsters. We encourage their involvement in the civic space of Cyprus by facilitating innovative free time activities, by stimulating their creativity and by developing their different skills. We support youngsters to use and develop their capacities, and to actively participate in the vision of a united Europe in order to foster European cooperation. Two important priorities for “PlanBe” is to give access to all people, including young people with fewer opportunities, and to fight against discriminations.

RJ4All Europe is a non-profit NGO with vision of a world that embraces the restorative justice values of power sharing, fairness, equality, dignity and respect, and where power abuse is rooted out. We pursue our vision by using the power of dialogue, education, sports and art, as well as the practices of restorative justice. RJ4All Europe has a mission to address poverty and advance equality, community cohesion and human rights. We pursue our mission by delivering social justice and poverty relief projects, free skills-development and educational programmes, youth clubs, intercultural and awareness raising workshops, internships and high-quality volunteering opportunities.

More details on the team: https://www.rj4all.eu/team/

Our main sources of income are Erasmus+ funding projects, CERV, Horizon etc.

RJ4All Europe was founded by Dr. Theo Gavrielides, one of the world’s leading experts on restorative justice. The NGO was founded upon his maximalist vision of restorative justice as a global social movement that brings balance to the scales of justice, and community voice. RJ4All Europe is the child of the Restorative Justice for All International Institute. Also founded by Dr. Gavrielides, the institute is now recognised one of the world’s leading authorities in the delivery, evaluation, research and scrutiny of restorative justice. Based in London, the institute has been working for over a decade with harmed and harming parties, communities and governments to provide effective interventions and an alternative narrative to justice.
RJ4All Europe draws from our Institute large portfolio of numerous successful projects https://www.rj4all.info/projects that were carried out for the EU, UK funders and international organisations. This includes independent evaluations of rehabilitation and restorative justice programmes, awareness raising and training projects, work on radicalisation as well as research consultancies and expert advice to governments and international organisations.

Mission and Objectives

RJ4All Europe is a non-profit NGO with vision of a world where power abuse is rooted out, and embraces the restorative justice values of power sharing, fairness, equality, dignity and respect . We pursue our vision by using the power of dialogue, education, sports and art, as well as the practices of restorative justice .

Main Projects / Activities

We believe that we can build a better world by working locally, nationally and internationally through the redistribution of power. We do this by using the values and practices of restorative justice including: power sharing, fairness, equality, dignity and respect. The means that we use are structured through educational, poverty relief and social action programmes, and focus on achieving social justice for all. Moreover, we deliver restorative justice interventions and evaluations and support both harmed and harming parties. We have expertise in complex cases such as hate incidents, sexual abuse and gender-based violence, youth violence and violent radicalisation. RJ4All Europe also has three additional arms: RJ4All Publications (publishing arm), RJ4All Sports (fitness arm) and RJ4All ecourses (training arm).

Our newly arrived funding project by Erasmus + is called Restorative Justice for Restorative Communities and you can find more information in the link below: https://www.rj4all.eu/rjrc/

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Given the long history of our sister organisation in the UK, restorative justice-based practices mean that we do not work alone. By design, all our projects are carried out in partnership with others who share our values. Founded upon the FREDA values of Fairness, Respect, Equality, Dignity and Autonomy, RJ4All Europe creates partnerships with like minded organisations to instil and implement FREDA, while also leading on the evaluation and wider dissemination of project results.
Also, we wish to share with this big network our Certified e-courses & trainings, workshops and trainings within restorative justice circles and Restorative justice interventions. All the more important, though, RJ4All is a research institute with a leading role in affecting policy-making through ground-breaking research. Having said that, we are going to offer a wealth of publications, research papers and evalautions.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We strongly believe in partnerships and we wish to offer space for networking, exchange of good practices and institutional development.
