Senior Fellow at the Austrian Institute for International Affairs, and lecturer at the University of Vienna. Cengiz Günay's fields of research are Islam, political reforms, socio-economic transformation processes and the question of democratization. His regional focuses lies on Turkey and the Arab Middle East. Günay has published a wide range of articles, analyses and policy papers on these questions, and is also a commentator on Turkish and Middle Eastern affairs in national and international media.
