Abstract

This article provides a detailed examination of the expectations of Generation Z youth from their families and the expectations of families from Generation Z youth, within the context of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. As the first generation to grow up in a digital world, Generation Z exhibits distinct differences from previous generations. The expectations of this generation from their families focus more on individual freedom, respect, and emotional support, while families’ expectations center on responsibility, success, and adherence to societal values. The study analyzes how these expectations are formed and what dynamics they create within family relationships.
