Abstract

The situation in the labor market in Slovenia has worsened in the last few years, mainly from the point of view of the aging of the active part of the population, or the decline in the number of the labor force in the Slovenian labor market, especially in individual deficit professions, where there is a shortage of domestic candidates. With this aim, in the past the authorities in the field of work and employment have already dealt with various strategic measures for the recruitment of foreign labor, both from the member states of the European Union and third countries of the world. The field of employment of foreign workers in Slovenia is regulated by laws and various agreements between individual countries for this field of work. This paper explores the challenges of labour integration of foreigner workers in Slovenia. It concludes with recommendatins for labour and social integration.
