With the globalization bringing the furthest nations seemingly in everyone's living-room, the fear to loose the own identity is growing and opens the door to rejection, racism, hate and violence. Our aim is to bring intercultural understanding into schools. We want to show the richness of diversity of all countries and nations, gushing with myriads of cultures. And we want to show, that yet the whole world is interdependent and that we have a lot more in common, than is usually known. It's the union in diversity which we try to point out. This is the most important step on the way to develop empathy. If the unknown looses its frightening face of strangeness, approaching can take place, understanding will follow and finally empathy will happen.
anti-aggressive: Faustlos: program for young pupils, regarding coping with anger and irritation, controlling impulses, developing empathy. Mediation:training elder pupils as mediators for their schools. Buddy:trainig teachers to develop stategies on strengthening social competences of pupils Intercultural: Projects on developing countries, as Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Benin, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Noth-Cameroon, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, with themes such as geography, history, culture, daily life, nature, religion,...for a better understanding. Consultants are either migrants or have worked in these countries as development aid workers. Projects on "One world themes", as Fair Trade taking chocolate as example, "biodiversity and biopiracy", UN-millenniumdevelopmentgoals. These projects can last from 2 hours up to even half a year, with one class or a whole school, depending on how much stress school principal and teachers want to put on.
