BEELOSOPHY is included in the Portal of Cultural Entities of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. Inspired by Bees and with the assistance of Ambassadors (6), Consultants (7) and Master Beekeepers, we create value for society, culture and the environment. Volunteers, friends, and partners form our team. In the context of planning or implementing actions, our team is supplemented with external partners. Financial and non-financial resources are attracted to cover the cost of the actions delivered. Sources of funding are competitive public grants of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and donations. Modalities of action are signature projects, awareness raising actions, seminars, publications, events, dissemination of good practices, awards. BEELOSOPHY connects areas of related interest, promotes collaborative networking and seeks the involvement of local societies, communities and entities. We seek the active participation and involvement of local partners and entities in each signature project in both the design and implementation phases.
We aim to a healthy and sustainable future, inspired by Bees. Beelosophy is a non-profit organisation that recognises the need to highlight the importance of Bees, learn useful lessons from them, protect them from various threats they face, and preserve the heritage of Bees and beekeeping. We contribute to highlighting the value and preserving the heritage of Bees and beekeeping, for a healthy and sustainable future.
Our signature initiatives fall under the Cultural Path and Beelosophy Friends categories. CULTURAL PATH Bees and beekeeping embody unique natural, tangible and intangible elements of culture. Beelosophy follows the Cultural Path, which is formed based on selected cultural elements of Bees and beekeeping. Through targeted initiatives, it contributes to highlighting and preserving these elements. Incorporating elements of culture, innovation, outstanding aesthetics or beauty and producing a strong social impact at a supra-local level is desirable. The distinguished organisations, bodies, or individuals are awarded the title "Bee Friend". BEE SANCTUARIES Green spaces or lots of land that implement pollinator-friendly ecological practices and contribute to the sustainability and health of the ecosystem are awarded the title Bee Sanctuaries. BEES-NESS DAY The Bees-ness Day action comprises education - awareness raising activities.
Promote dialogue, network, exchange knowledge, involve local players, work closely with stakeholders in Greece and increase the scope and dimension of our work to the benefit of members and the network.
