The World Youth Alliance Middle East is part of the World Youth Alliance's global network of members and staff that work on promoting the dignity of the human person through advocacy, culture and education. We work with members aged 15-30, training and educating them on the person-centered approach to human rights issues as well as on the modality of UN negotiations and conferences.
Our main regional projects include: 1- Our "Track A training"; an online training program aimed at educating interested youth on the philosophical and practical roots of the international human rights project, particularly within the United Nations. 2- Our Regional Internship Program; a 3 or 6 months program aimed at giving youth first-hand experience in advocacy work as well as a chance to work on their own projects. Internship program includes Track A training program. 3- Educational/Cultural Events; conducted regularly throughout the year and include a film festival, education workshops based on "Track A material"; school/university seminars etc. 4- International Solidarity Forum; conducted once yearly at the New York headquarters and the UN headquarters, regional members work on defining the region's most important issues in order to include them within the yearly theme's resolution.
With members from around the world and a closely knit community, we will be able to bridge our country's network with people, cultures, ideas and projects from all around the world. We pride ourselves for our diversity and work to find solidarity, particularly concerning the dignity of the human person, within all cultural, religious and other diverse backgrounds.
We would like to join the ALF Network in order to connect with other youth-based organizations within the region and in the hopes of collaborating on projects and events. Further, we would like to extend our reach in order to give the chance for more young people to join us in our activities and benefit from our projects.
