Catharsis for Theater Association was established in Sidi Ifni, southern Morocco, in 2020, in response to the need of young people to training and practicing cultural activities. The association works to create training workshops and perform theater shows for children and youth in order to spread theatrical and artistic culture among young people
Catharsis for Theater Association aims to: -Produce and promote theater performances nationally and internationally -Printing and publishing studies, theatrical texts and related articles -Organizing and participating in theatrical formation workshops nationally and internationally -Organizing and participating in cultural and artistic demonstrations and festivals at the national and international level.
Catharsis for theatre organized theater workshop for young women and girls in the city of Sidi Ifni, at the cultural center Si Hmmad Al-Derham. The participants worked on the subject of 'body expression' by engaging in a set of applied theatrical exercises, and the activity was concluded by distributing participation certificates to ladies. (December 2021) Enhancing girls’ abilities in communication through theatre, Catharsis for theatre organized a series of workshops entitled: Enhancing girls’ abilities in communication through theatre. The first group benefits from this workshop were girls coming from the rural areas and residing in the internal section of the Moulay Abdellah High school in February 2022 Theater workshops for kids. unfortunately Covid 19 shut many activities down that made kids happy and the performing arts programs being one of them. But there are still some things that Catharsis for theatre can do and can bring some joy to this difficult time. For this raison, we did a specific program for kids by organizing theatre workshops for kids.
