Non profit organization, seven members staff, around17,000 euros available in a year, funding by contracts, organizations of art events and international conferences, main partner CIHEAM-Bari, member of the Italian R.I.D.E.
The non-profit Association pursues exclusively civic, solidarity and socially useful purposes, mainly through the carrying out of activities in the sectors of promoting culture and art; the protection, promotion and valorisation of assets of historical and artistic interest,; the protection and enhancement of nature and the environment; education and training; of international cooperation; of the valorization of the food cultures of the Mediterranean.
Co-Organization of the Second World Conference on the Revitalization of the Mediterranean Diet, in Parlemo, Italy, in 2019; partecipation in the organization of the First World Conference on the Mediterranean Diet in Milan in 2016 and of the Third World Conference on the Revitalization of the Mediterranean Diet at the CIHEAM Bari, Italy, in 2022. From 2004 to 2023, it has carried out the travelling art event "Plexus Metr'Art Erosions and Renaissance Shows" as a collaborative project in Rome, Cagliari (Sardinia), Jerusalem, Barcelona, and Dakar uniting diverse communities of artists with varying visions and artistic forms, while also providing opportunities for art networking among the public on pressing issues such as human rights, peace, biodiversity loss, desertification, and the value of cultural diversity.
As a member of the Italian Network R.I.D.E, Plexus International Forum Onlus can further contribute with its program "Forum on Mediterranean Food Cultures" to the ALF Network Mission and activities
