Second year masters student at the American University in Cairo. She is studying international security with a focus on terrorism, also currently working as Egypt’s former Foreign Minister, Nabil Fahmy’s research assistant and interning at the UN Women. After finishing her undergraduate degree in international relations at the University of British Columbia in Canada, Emilia came to Cairo to do her masters and her research interests include female radicalisation, securitization theory, inter- organizational cooperation between non-state groups and counter-terrorism policy.
